Multi-talented, author and poet, S.D Denny has been a reclusive, yet formidable force in the publishing industry. A diverse writer, who can tackle an array of writing genres, S.D. has been writing since she was able to form a sentence. She began writing poetry and short stories at a young age to express her inner thoughts and emotions, and to escape the harsh realities she faced while growing up in a Brooklyn housing project.
Blending her zest for life and love of culture, history, and travel, S.D. encompasses all into everything she pens. She embraces her biracial heritage, which has allowed her to develop a true and unique understanding of culture and the human existence, and this understanding is reflected within the deep issues she tackles in her writing.
A gifted storyteller, S.D. confesses, “My work is driven by passion. Passion for love, people, God and His creations and I never underestimate the power of passion, for it is true passion that will lead you to fulfilling your dreams.” On her journey to becoming a published author, she has written and edited training material for national organizations and volunteered as a journalist for a church magazine.S.D. Denny also enjoys traveling, history, cooking and photography and plans to write future novels that she hopes will impact women worldwide. She currently resides in North Carolina with her two sons.
